  18. DESCRIPTION
  19.  
  20.      AXsh's main purpose is to let other users have access to your
  21.      Amiga and still be sure that nothing inappropriate can happen.
  22.      AXsh ensures this by allowing access only to directories that are
  23.      defined accessible and only accepting commands and arguments that
  24.      are defined legal.
  25.  
  26.      AXsh supports multiple lines, multiple users logged in
  27.      simultaneously and 8 different user levels. User actions can be
  28.      saved into a log file. Each user has his/her own home directory,
  29.      and the used disk space can be/is restricted.

  31.      AXsh can be used as a bulletin board system with or without
  32.      UUCP or as a door program in a 'normal' BBS. It has its own mail,
  33.      news and file transfer programs. However, AXsh is not restricted
  34.      to remote access, it can be very well used as a local shell.

  36.      The shell itself has command line editing, function key macros,
  37.      history, aliases, variables and scripts. It also has filename and
  38.      commandname completion assigned to the TAB key. VT100, Ansi and
  39.      dumb terminal modes are currently supported.

  41.      Many useful programs are included in the packet and any CLI-based
  42.      programs can easily be added.

  44.      AXsh systems can be connected together to form a network, so that
  45.      mail and news are exchanged between systems. You can also use UUCP
  46.      instead of the native AXsh net system or you can use another
  47.      transport mechanism like Fidonet (TrapDoor) to transfer AXsh net
  48.      packets. News and mail programs are configurable to fully interface
  49.      with UUCP or CNews.

  51.      If you have WB2.1, you can choose the used language from English,
  52.      Finnish, Spanish, French, Danish, Swedish and German. New 2.0
  53.      features are also used, but you can still use AXsh with ks1.3 if
  54.      you have arp.library.

  107.      The demo version can be freely distributed, provided that the
  108.      contents of the archive remain intact.

  111. IMPORTANT!

  113.      This can be the last 1.3-compatible version. However, bugfixes will
  114.      be done for registered users, if needed. The next version will be
  115.      totally new inside, writing applications will be easier, the security
  116.      will improve etc. If there is enough interest (and registrations),
  117.      I might consider making a 1.3-compatible version also.
